Innovative director and theater instructor, Libby Appel,  uses the tremendous safety one finds behind a mask to increase the actor’s emotional and physical range, allowing skills to integrate and express deeply creative instincts.

The assymetrical aspect of each mask in this new set of 24 masks creates complexity and ambiguity.   This encourages actors to move beyond stereotypical and stiff interpretations, and to bring unique and complex characters to life.
